Continuing a successful career spanning a quarter century, Susan shows no signs of slowing down. The daughter of a police detective and the eldest of five children, Susan was raised in the small town of Oak Glenn, California on an apple ranch far removed from the glamour and lights of show business.

During high school, Susan won several beauty contests and she continued her success in pageants by winning the Miss California crown in 1969. She went on to become second runner-up to Miss America in 1970. She dazzled the audience and judges with her talents that she quickly abandoned her dream of becoming a Child Psychologist and moved to Hollywood.

Within a couple of years, she received her first big break when she inherited the title of the Muriel Cigar Girl from internationally famous singer Edie Adams. Susan appeared in numerous television commercials as the Muriel Girl. Her co-stars in those spots often included other budding stars such as Treat Williams and Tom Selleck.

The campaign was the catalyst for her frequent appearances on The Merv Griffin Show, placing her firmly in the national spotlight and served as a launching pad for her transition into theater, films and television.

In the 80’s and 90’s, Susan toured with Kenny Rogers and was a guest star with the Great Radio City Music Hall Spectacular. Her stage and screen credits include roles in Broadway shows such as The Will Rogers Follies and the films Goldengirl and Making Mr. Right with John Malkovich.

Susan spent over 5 years in Las Vegas as the Special Guest Star with the Great Radio City Music Hall Spectacular and its renowned Rockettes. Prior to this tenure, she toured for 2 years in the U.S. national tour of the same production, making her not only one of the most popular and glamorous stars on the Las Vegas Strip, but a true veteran of the theater.

The New York Times describe her a "convincing pop/soul artist who reveals a strong, supple voice along with an intelligent, well-balanced interpretive approach."

Susan is recognized around the world as a distinguished concert performer and recording artist. Having opened for Kenny Rogers' world-tour, she ultimately hit the top 10 of the country charts with her very first single Killing Time, and earned a Gold Record in Japan for her mega-hit album Foxy.
