Starting as a child performer in her native England, Petula sang to the Allied forces during World War II, becoming the Singing Sweetheart for American soldiers abroad. She then went on to host her own BBC radio show, was placed under a film contract by the renowned Rank Organization, and had numerous hit records, all before her massive breakthrough in the United States.

With worldwide sales of over 60 million recordings, Petula has also had hit songs in Germany, Holland, Italy, Australia, Hong Kong, Denmark and South Africa. Petula has also starred in dozens of British films, including the classic, I Know Where I'm Going, London Town, The Card, Never Never Land and the popular Huggetts series. Her movie career further blossomed in the U.S. where she was paired opposite Fred Astaire in Francis Ford Coppola's Finian's Rainbow and Peter O'Toole in MGM's musical remake of Goodbye, Mr. Chips, the latter earning her a Golden Globe nomination.

Petula also has a double CD retrospective, The Petula Clark Anthology: Downtown To Sunset Boulevard, chronicling her most important recordings of the past 35 years and Ultimate Petula Clark, containing all her U.S. Top 40 hits.
