...daring stunt riders toppling from steeds to a sod-covered stage. Battles mixed with barefooted dancers, tumblers, wizards and a prince's quest for a lovely maiden to share his throne.
Ejnoy a pre-show meal of baked chicken and ye olde side orders plus a puff-pastry dessert. In keeping with the medieval theme, victuals arrive minus cutlery for an authentic, hands only dining experience that goes down well.

The show was created by charming producer Peter Jackson as "King Arthur's Tournament" and played for over nine years. It continued under the direction of his son, Patrick Jackson, who followed his father's wishes by pressing on with an updated version that's now titled "Tournament of Kings."

Enjoy upholstered chairs, an elevator for the disabled, chandeliers, and enhanced sound and lighting equipment. The cast's sole entrance/exit point, little more than a black curtain before, was rebuilt to resemble a stone castle replete with turrets and parapets for sword fights and flame-throwing antics from black-clad villain Mordred.

The meal is a starter of salty chicken broth that's sipped from pewter cups followed by a platter of baked, seasoned chicken joined by big clumps of broccoli, a twice-baked potato and a dinner roll, while Doug Baker warms up crowds as Merlin.

A soaring new live score by Scot Rammer fuses heavy symphonic drama and lighthearted madrigals at proper points while the authentically garbed cast of 43 players works hard in potentially dangerous segments played out on horseback.
