Flew SWA from Hartford using vouchers from last years trip when we got bumped. Almost full flight, arrived on time, took shuttle to Dollar (fastlane members) had reserved full size (Taurus) asked attendant if I could grab Chrysler Concord w/sunroof he said sure, first win.

Stayed at Alladin two nites $49 each, nice room, had view out to Mandalay Bay,great bathroom. I really did not spend much time in this place, did not get a good feel for casino at all, did not do any restaurants here either, really was just a place to sleep. Spent two nites at GC, rooms are fine, nothing special, easy in and out and great access to Palms where we did a lot of gambling.

GC has a weak craps game and VP has declined but still has a good low min. DDBJ, and good drink service. We really enjoy the breakfast buffet, under $5 and omellets to order, oj, and any other breakfast food you could want,no lines.

Did a lot of gambling at GVR, I love this place, clean, friendly, craps w/$5 and 10x odds, tons of fpvp which wife and I play mostly, gorgeous waitresses, Fatburger, and good BJ at low minimums, if you have never been take a ride here.

Signed up online for a players card at Casino Montlago, recieved 2000 points good for free lunch at the bar, this is a small place but absolutely loaded with fpvp, won a bet on Uconn so went back here Fri to collect and ended up hanging out till 3am. A long way from strip but a cool place, great drinks, staff.

Love the Palms also, great vp in a clean atmosphere, lots of eye candy at night, drink service a little slow. Ate at Garduno's, my margarita was as much as my fajita, both tasty but overpriced, would not recommend this place. I stuck to all full pay machines, ddb,db,dw, but still lost, no royals, although I did see a lot, especially at Palms, and not enough quads to stay even.

Played some craps at above places with mixed results. Also played at casino royal, I know 100x odds is great but really, this place sucks!! Pit crew are dirtbags/hustlers,smoky as hell and grungy in my opinion. I have never seen a good roll here and really, who plays full 100x odds? Won't be back.

Hit Margaritaville, nice place to stop for a beer, menu looked a little pricey but expected that, fun place. Went to comedy stop at Tropicana, coupons available, this was a great deal, about $30 for two including 2 drinks each, really laughed our butts off at 3 comedians. Saw Coco Montoya at BS, if you like blues you should be here on Thurs. no cover, reasonable drinks, great venue and BS was nicer than I remembered.

Visited Fiesta,Texas Station,Sunset Station,Orleans,Flamingo,Tuscany,Ellis island. All ok but not worth too much time. Stopped at Harrah's carnival court, watched the flair bartenders and the band Wonderboogie, what a riot, if you are in that area stop by for the show. Mac King is also a cheap diversion from the machines, free tickets at slot club for new members or just ask nicely. Rode the bigshot and x-scream at Sratosphere, pretty cool being that high up, get the front seat on x scream it will get your heart pumping.

Went with a couple of virgins so we stayed on strip a couple of nites but I have really lost the desire to gamble on the strip due to the higher minimums and lousy odds/VP. Although I proved you can lose off strip as well, I just like playing at places like Palms,GVR,Montlago and even GC more than anywhere on strip. The 60 degree days were a nice break from 20's in CT, I can still party hard 4 nites running but it is taking longer to recover as I approach 40. Next trip will be when pools are open, I spent way too much time gambling, think I will skip a year, (I say that now) need to save some cash. Thanks for reading.
