Arrived at the stroke of midnight and were courteously checked in to a room in the Monaco Tower. The room was spacious and clean as was the bathroom. All the public areas were clean. We ate at Kady's at least four times and found the food good and the place was very clean. The Casino was huge and gave you a good variety of slots and had plenty of table games. I had read a lot of negative reviews about this Hotel but I must say, I could find no fault with anything at the Riviera. The employees were friendly and helpful, the food was great, our room was spotless. Housekeeping was great. Because the Riviera is an older Hotel I think the yuppies give it a bum rap. Having stayed at the Hilton and the Orleans I found the Riviera far superior to either of those hotels. My wife and I will definitely return to the Riviera, the Yuppies can stay at the antiseptic newer resorts which are nothing more than glorified shopping centers. For a treat go to the Fashion Show mall and get a Burger at Stripburger, they are great. The Peppermill restaurant is still a great place that is quint-essential Vegas. If you want a good value and a great old Hotel go the Riviera.
Stayed at Riviera April 25, 2010 to April 30, 2010
