Las Vegas—Ventriloquist Ronn Lucas and his cast of characters will delight audiences with a mix of stand-up comedy and improvisations at the Suncoast Showroom June 8 and 9.
The first ventriloquist to headline a long-running show in Las Vegas, Lucas has received numerous accolades for his performances — including being named The World’s Best Ventriloquist by The New York Times and The London Times — and has performed for several U.S. presidents.
Appearing alongside Lucas are his trusty sidekicks Scorch the Dragon, Buffalo Billy and Chuck the Disposable Punk Rocker. In 1992, Scorch was the star of his own self-titled television show on CBS (with Lucas providing the voice).
Lucas has appeared on numerous television sitcoms, including “Nip/Tuck,” “L.A. Law” and “Night Court.” In 1990, he starred in “The Ronn Lucas Show,” broadcast in the United Kingdom. In 2009, he was featured in the documentary, “I’m No Dummy,” which explored the world of ventriloquism through clips and interviews.

LAS VEGAS - April 19, 2013 - The cool and legendary Beach Boys will make a special concert appearance at the Cannery Casino and Hotel on May 11 at 8:00p.m.
The Beach Boys are led by Mike Love and Bruce Johnston, who along with Christian Love, Randell Kirsch, Tim Bonhomme, John Cowsill and Scott Totten continue the legacy of the iconic American band.
You can capsulize most pop music acts by reciting how many hits they’ve had and how many millions of albums they’ve sold. But these conventional measurements fall short when you’re assessing the impact of The Beach Boys. This band has birthed a torrent of hit singles and sold albums by the tens of millions. But its greater significance lies in the fact that it changed the musical landscape so profoundly that every pop act since has been in its debt.
The Beach Boys are known for chart toppers such as “I Get Around”, “Don’t Worry Baby”, “California Girls”, “Good Vibrations”, “Don’t Worry Baby”, “Barbara Ann”, “Help Me Rhonda”, “Kokomo” and many more! Happily for us all, The Beach Boys continue to create and perform with the same bold imagination and style that marked their explosive debut 50 years ago.
Captained by Mike Love, The Beach Boys play an astoundingly busy schedule of concerts, averaging 150 shows a year, ranging from festivals to gala New Year’s celebrations and special events worldwide.
Tickets for the 8:00p.m. concert start at $29.95 (not including applicable service charges and taxes) and are available at both the Cannery and Eastside Cannery properties.

LAS VEGAS - April 12, 2013 - WAR, the longtime feel-good funk and rock band, is in the spotlight at Eastside Cannery Casino and Hotel on Saturday, May 4 at 8:30 p.m.
WAR is known for their hit songs “Low Rider”, “Spill the Wine”, “The Cisco Kid”, “Why Can’t We Be Friends?” and many more. The group has 14 Top 40s hits. They have toured all over the world and play an eclectic array of festivals, including the “Summer Sonic Festival” in Japan.
Lonnie Jordan, founding band member, states that the music of the band brings people together for peace, love and harmony. The music is influenced by jazz, rock, funk, soul, R&B and Latin genres and is enjoyed across cultures and generations.
WAR’s global popularity is a tribute to the timelessness of its music and message. Perhaps nothing epitomizes this truth greater than the fact that WAR has been honored twice by its hometown of Los Angeles, over 20 years apart, for its music making positive contributions to the betterment of the community,

Las Vegas—Legendary R&B group The Manhattans will bring their doo-wop and soulful sounds to the Suncoast Showroom May 25 and 26.
Named after the cocktail of whiskey, vermouth and bitters, The Manhattans formed in the early ‘60s. Their first hit on the Billboard charts was the 1964 song, “I Wanna Be (Your Everything),” the first of eight singles for the group, nearly all in the Top 30.
The group rose to prominence in 1972 with the release of “One Life to Live,” which went to No. 3 on the US R&B charts. A follow-up single, “There’s No Me Without You” also topped at No. 3 on the charts. In the mid-‘70s, The Manhattans achieved top 10 success again with “Don’t Take Your Love” and “Hurt.”
Superstardom came in 1976, when “Kiss and Say Goodbye” became their first No. 1 hit on both the Pop and R&B charts. It also became only the second platinum single in history. Follow-up hits include “I Kinda Miss You,” ”It Feels So Good to Be Loved So Bad,” “We Never Danced a Love Song” and “Am I Losing You.”
The recordings of “Shining Star,” “Crazy” and the cover of Sam Cooke’s “You Send Me” kept The Manhattans at the top of the charts into the early ‘80s. The group continued to release new music over the next several decades, including 2001’s “Nites Like This.”
Showtime each evening is 7:30 p.m. Tickets are available from $15.95, plus tax and fees. Tickets can be purchased at any Boyd Gaming box office, by calling 702.636.7075, or visiting www.suncoastcasino.com.

COMEDIAN JEFF DUNHAM BRINGS “DISORDERLY CONDUCT” TO THE COLOSSEUM AT CAESARS PALACE FRIDAY, JUNE 14

“Jeff Dunham.” Ticket prices are $89.50, $69.50, $59.50 and $49.50 (all prices include 10% Live Entertainment Tax). Showtime is 8 p.m. Orders are subject to additional service charges and fees.
Jeff Dunham’s television specials and series have been the highest rated programming
in Comedy Central history, his DVD sales have reached seven million units, his
videos have received a half a billion views on You Tube, and his live concerts have become mega-events played in front of sold-out arenas worldwide. No wonder Time
Magazine wrote that he is “the most popular comedian in the United States” and Forbes named him to its Celebrity 100 list of most powerful entertainers three years running. Today, Jeff Dunham is a phenomenally successful global entertainment brand.
Dunham has, of course, plenty of help on-stage: his entourage of signature characters
who are there to challenge and chastise his every sentence. There’s Walter, the grumpy retiree; the beer-swilling, NASCAR-loving and resolutely red neck Bubba J; the furry and manic Peanut; José Jalapeño, the spicy pepper from South of the border; the bumbling skeletal Achmed the Dead Terrorist; the almost as dead long-lost son of Achmed, AJ; and Peanut’s own ventriloquist dummy: Little Jeff. They may have all been conceived and hand crafted by Dunham, but his characters, who are anything but dummies, have now taken on a life of their own, each with their own legion of fans.
Today, Dunham’s global appeal is undeniable. He was named top-grossing live comedy act in the world in 2009 and 2010 by Pollstar, the concert industry trade magazine. He has sold-out stadium-sized shows across three continents, from the United Kingdom to Sydney, Toronto to Copenhagen. He sold-out an 8,000 seat hockey arena in Helsinki, Finland on Easter Sunday, and Dunham doesn’t speak a word of Finnish. Or Swedish. Or Norwegian. Or Afrikaan, which are the official languages of some of the countries he has visited. There is universal appeal to Dunham’s relationship with his characters that transcends any small gaps in language translation.
He maintains a highly interactive relationship with his fans via JeffDunham.com and many social networking platforms, including over 6.5 million fans on Facebook. His content partnerships include YouTube (where his Achmed clip is in the top five videos of all time designated as a favorite), Amazon.com, and iTunes.
In 2012, Jeff continued to pack arena-sized venues on his new Controlled Chaos live show. He recently made his fourth trip to Europe this spring, stopping in the U.K.,
Germany, and Belgium, and his second trip to South Africa, selling out arenas in Johannesburg, Cape Town, Sun City and Durban. Jeff just returned from his second trip to Australia and premiere visit to New Zealand, selling out arenas in Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide, Brisbane, and Auckland.
As an entertainer, Jeff Dunham has truly impacted popular culture, and his character catchphrases, such as Achmed's "Silence! I Keel You!" and José Jalapeño’s "On A Steek!'", are now part of our vernacular, much to the delight of multi-generational audiences worldwide.
