(Las Vegas, NV) - When they talk about hockey legends -- Wayne Gretzky, Gordie Howe, Bobby Orr -- there is one name that stands out in Las Vegas, Jay Kornegay. Kornegay is the Race & Sports Book director at the Imperial Palace Hotel & Casino, who is again welcoming all hockey fans for FREE NHL Hockey Wednesday Sports Viewing Parties, starting at 4 p.m., beginning October 4 and running all-season long.
Returning for the fifth year, "Hockey Wednesday," in the 3rd floor sports lounge, features every Wednesday night NHL game on big screen TVs, while sports gurus Don Tegeler and Bill Fitzgerald host a live national radio broadcast of that evening's goals, bumps and bruises, from 5 to 7 p.m. on Talk America II Radio Network, Cable Radio Network and locally on KRLV 1340 AM.
Visits by the Miller Girls and 99¢ Molson Ice (at the sports bar from 4 p.m.) will make the parties both "hot" and "cool," as fans will also get chances to win great weekly give-aways from Pepsi, Miller Beer and the Imperial Palace Hotel & Casino. There will also be a drawing for fantastic end-of-the-season prizes, so don't just sit on the bench and miss your chance to enter.
Once again, Kornegay will continue his "legendary" "Chasers," the chance to bet on the second- and/or third-period of a game being played during the party. Wager $20 or more on a "Chaser" and receive a FREE Meal Deal at the Burger Palace, adjacent to the Sports Lounge.
