LAS VEGAS - Golden Nugget Las Vegas will start taking reservations for its highly anticipated new hotel tower beginning Aug. 1, which is planned to open Nov. 20.
The $150-million Rush Tower will become the newest addition in the Golden Nugget.s vast renovation and expansion projects, which has totaled more than $300 million, and will increase the property.s already unrivaled hotel, gaming and dining options.
"This is a fantastic opportunity for the Golden Nugget and our guests," said Tilman Fertitta, Chairman of the Board, President and Chief Executive Officer of Landry.s Restaurants, Inc., which owns the property. "Rush Tower will provide our visitors with the latest in luxury accommodations, while continuing to offer the first-class customer service already delivered by our iconic Las Vegas property."
Rush Tower will add nearly 500 guestrooms and suites to the Golden Nugget.s already wellappointed room options. With new guestrooms ranging from 439 square feet to one-bedroom parlor suites at 1,326 square feet, the new tower will offer exquisite room options for any occasion or visitor. All rooms will be non-smoking and feature upgraded pillow-top mattresses, feather down comforters, 42" plasma televisions and contemporary décor. Plus with its prime location, the new tower offers many rooms with incredible views of the Las Vegas strip and several others with a wonderful view of the Golden Nugget pool, The Tank, voted one of the ‘Top Ten Pools in the World. by Forbes Traveler.
"With the Rush Tower guestrooms being at least 20 percent larger than the property.s current standard North and South Tower rooms, they.re sure to be a popular choice for our guests," added Fertitta. The Rush Tower, however, isn.t only boasting exceptional accommodations. The new tower will also bring with it a new dining experience, a Chart House Aquarium restaurant. Based on Landry.s Restaurants popular nationwide eateries of the same moniker, but adding a 50,000-gallon tropical aquarium, the Chart House Aquarium restaurant will offer signature Chart House menu items as well as many specialty dishes unique to the Golden Nugget location. The amazing aquarium centerpiece will provide a great atmosphere for visitors to gather and relish, while enjoying their meal, and will also be visible from Rush Tower.s impressive lobby area.
A new intimate swimming pool with 6 plush cabanas and covered lounging areas will also be a part of the new tower and will adjoin the third floor of The Tank pool.

Golden Nugget signs multi-year deal with Gordie Brown

LAS VEGAS - The Golden Nugget Hotel & Casino is proud to announce the signing of singer/impressionist/entertainer Gordie Brown to a multi-year contract to headline at the legendary property.
Brown, who is currently touring North America with Celine Dion, will begin performances in February 2009, in the property’s Showroom, which will be renamed in his honor, The Gordie Brown Showroom.
"We are very excited to bring the Gordie Brown experience to the Golden Nugget," said Tilman Fertitta, chairman of Landry’s (NYSE: LNY), owner of the Golden Nugget. "We have known since acquiring this property that it is meant to be the home of Gordie Brown. We are truly thrilled to have him headlining for the long term in our new state-of-the-art theater. We are confident that Gordie Brown will continue entertaining audiences with his hilarious comedy, spot-on impressions and exceptional music."
Starting in February, Brown will perform five nights a week with a four-piece band. He is well known for his amazing comedy and vast repertoire of celebrity impressions such as Arnold Schwarzenegger, Jack Nicholson and Sylvester Stallone, as well as Las Vegas icons like Elvis Presley and Sammy Davis, Jr. Brown has consistently received rave reviews by both critics and audiences alike, and has been recognized as Entertainer of the Year and Best Show.
The Golden Nugget’s Showroom, which completed a major expansion and renovation in October 2006, is an intimate, 600-seat theater on the third level of the hotel’s Spa Tower. It features plush seats and an advanced, state-of-the-art digital audio and visual system.

LON BRONSON BRINGS HIS ALL-STAR BAND TO HISTORIC DOWNTOWN SHOWROOM

LAS VEGAS (May 7, 2004) -- Lon Bronson brings his 12-member All-Star R&B, Rock & Soul Revue to the Golden Nugget's 400-seat Theatre Ballroom. Opening Saturday, May 15, 2004, Lon Bronson's All-Star Band will perform two shows weekly, Mondays at 10 p.m. and Saturdays at midnight. There is no cover and a two-drink minimum. A dress rehearsal, which will be open to the public, will take place, Monday, May 10, at 10 p.m.
On the heels of the Tony Bennett and Jewel performances, which inaugurated the Golden Nugget's foray into headline entertainment, the addition of late-night performances by Lon Bronson's All-Star Band is one of many changes for the Golden Nugget showroom.
"Lon Bronson's free-wheeling, fun stage show represents what the Golden Nugget is trying to accomplish with our new direction in entertainment options," said Joe Leone, entertainment director for the Golden Nugget. "Lon has done a wonderful job connecting with his audiences, and has developed a loyal following and supportive fan base. Founded by Lon Bronson in 1990, the All-Star Band has been a Las Vegas mainstay, and currently holds the Las Vegas record for longest running band on the Strip. Lon Bronson's All-Star Band has garnered world-renowned acclaim, attracting a loyal following among locals, tourists, musicians, and celebrities. Drew Carey, Huey Lewis, Barenaked Ladies and Tom Jones are just some of the bands well-known fans.
