Winners of Hooters Casino Hotel's daily poker tournament have the chance to win a seat in the qualifying round
January 25, 2007 - Las Vegas, NV - The Heartland Poker Tour (HPT) will kick-off its 2007 season at Hooters Casino Hotel with a series of events beginning January 25-29.
The Heartland Poker Tour is a tournament where anyone can win and win big for a minimal entry fee. The tour is expected to draw hundreds of people to the opening round and will eventually boil down to a Final Table of six top players.
The main event will take place on Sunday, January 28 with the top 20 percent of the qualifiers from the previous rounds. They will be competing for a seat at the Final Table, which will take place on Monday, January 29. HPT will tape this Final Table and create two one-hour episodes with full commentary to be aired at a later date. Industry insiders have declared it to be funnier and more energetic than current poker shows with dynamic announcers and fresh faces. With an audience, lights and TV cameras, the players in the Championship feel like they are competing at the World Series of Poker in Las Vegas. The show will be televised on various stations and cable networks throughout the U.S. and Canada.
