Caesars Palace will celebrate the winter holidays in style with special Christmas, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day meals in many of its restaurants. Entrance to Caesars Palace New Year's Eve will require appropriate evening attire, including jackets for gentlemen (except for Caesars' hotel guests). All prices are per person, and do not include tax.
Dec. 25 - Christmas Day
Cafe Lago will serve a special holiday brunch buffet from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., priced at $19.99 (half-price for children under 12 years). Guests also may order from the Cafe Lago lunch and dinner menus from 11 a.m. to midnight. A breakfast buffet will be offered 7 a.m. to 11 a.m., priced at $13.99 (half-price for children under 12 years).
The Palatium will serve a holiday champagne brunch buffet from 8:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. Dec. 25, priced at $19.99 including beverages (half-price for children under 12 years). Breakfast specialties will be offered until 3:30 p.m. After 4 p.m., fresh, whole, one-pound steamed lobsters will be available for $12 each.
Terrazza, along with its customary menu of Italian cuisine specialties, will offer a three-course Christmas seafood dinner from 5:30 to 10:30 p.m., priced at $55. In addition to its prime steaks and seafood menu, Neros restaurant will serve a three-course holiday meal that includes marinated portobello and arugula salad with goat cheese, toasted almonds and aged balsamic vinaigrette; roasted rack of lamb au jus with artichokes, cipolini onions, and roasted potatoes; and vanilla bread pudding from 5:30 to 10:30 p.m., priced at $55. La Piazza food court will offer a holiday special at its American station that includes slow-roasted prime rib au jus, seasonal vegetables, and mashed potatoes from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. at $11.99. La Piazza will be open from 7:30 a.m. to 10 p.m.
Other Caesars Palace restaurants will serve from their customary menus Christmas Day. Caesars Magical Empire will offer seatings from 4:30 to 10:30 p.m. at $75.50 (special price will be available for children) with dinner selections of chicken, beef, fish, or a vegetarian plate. Hyakumi Japanese Restaurant & Sushi Bar will serve dinner from 5:30 to 10:30 p.m. including a la carte and Teppan Yaki-style menus. Sushi and Asian noodle delicacies will be served 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on the Hyakumi terrace. Empress Court and 808 will be closed.
New Year's Eve
Caesars Magical Empire will offer two seatings Dec. 31, the first from 4:30 to 6:50 p.m., priced at $75.50 (special price will be available for children), including a champagne toast. The second seating, from 7:30 to 9:50 p.m., is priced at $120, and will include a special holiday menu, champagne toast and party favors. Tickets for both seatings include a three-course dinner with magic, wine and beverages; entertainment in the Secret Pagoda Theatre and the Sultan's Palace Theatre, Luminaria show, exploration of the entire facility, taxes and gratuity. A disc jockey will play music for dancing in the Sanctum Secorum beginning at 10 p.m., and a countdown to midnight with fireworks also is planned. Caesars Magical Empire welcomes visitors for a free sneak preview of the magic 11 a.m.-3:30 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday.
The Palatium will serve a New Year's Eve brunch buffet from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., priced at $19.99 (half-price for children under 12 years). A holiday champagne seafood buffet, including a fresh, whole, one-pound steamed lobster with drawn butter, will be offered from 4:30 to 11 p.m. priced at $29.99. Additional one-pound lobsters will be available for $12 each. In addition to its 24-hour menus, Cafe Lago will offer a New Year's Eve champagne dinner buffet from 6 to 11 p.m., priced at $32.99. Cafe Lago's breakfast buffet will be served from 7 to 11 a.m. at $13.99, and a lunch buffet from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., priced at $15.99 (half-price for children under 12 years). The lunch and dinner a la carte menus also will be offered from 11 a.m. to midnight. Pianist David Osborne will entertain in Cafe Lago beginning at 6 p.m. New Year's Eve.
Other restaurants at Caesars Palace will offer New Year's Eve dinner specials in addition to their customary menus. Terrazza Italian restaurant will offer a four-course gourmet dinner from 5:30 to 11 p.m., priced at $100. In addition to their Euro-pacific fresh seafood menu, the chefs of 808 will serve a five-course lobster and New York Strip dinner from 5:30 to 11 p.m., priced at $130. In addition to its prime steaks and seafood menu, Neros restaurant will offer a New Year's Eve dinner of hearts of palm, endive and red oak salad with blue cheese and sherry vinaigrette; beef filet and shrimp with foie gras, truffle risotto cake, caramelized carrots, grilled asparagus, and Périgueux sauce; and vanilla tuille for dessert from 5:30 to 11 p.m., priced at $75.
La Piazza food court will offer a holiday dinner at its American station from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., priced at $11.99. The dinner will feature herb-roasted prime rib au jus, a winter vegetable medley and Idaho mashed potatoes. La Piazza coffee and bakery service will be open from 7 to 9 a.m., with food court full service available from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. La Piazza will close early (9 p.m.), to enable La Piazza Lounge seating for New Year's Eve.
Empress Court, serving authentic Hong Kong cuisine, will offer the regular a la carte menus as well as two specialty dinners in honor of the Year of the Snake, 5:30 to 11 p.m. The Golden Jade dinner, priced at $29.99, features a choice of spring rolls or Cantonese-style wonton soup, followed by a choice of Mongolian beef, Kung Pao chicken, or sweet-and-sour pork; vegetable fried rice or steam rice; and a choice of ginger, mango, or green tea ice cream. The Silver Pearl dinner, priced at $39.99, offers pot stickers with dipping sauce; hot-and-sour soup; choice of beef with Chinese broccoli, cashew chicken, or shrimp with stir-fried vegetables; steamed or fried rice; and a choice of ice cream.
Hyakumi Japanese Restaurant & Sushi Bar will serve its a la carte and Teppan Yaki menus from 5:30 to 11 p.m. Fresh sushi and Asian noodle delicacies will be available on the terrace from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. and from 11 p.m. until 4 a.m.
Reservations with a credit card are required for New Year's Eve at Terrazza, Neros, Empress Court, Hyakumi Japanese Restaurant & Sushi Bar, Caesars Magical Empire and 808; evening attire is suggested. Reservations are not taken at Cafe Lago, The Palatium or La Piazza.
All Caesars Palace lounges will be open New Year's Eve to bring in the new year.
Cleopatra's Barge Nightclub will feature entertainment by Patti Janura 10:30 p.m. to 4 a.m. The $50 cover charge will include a midnight champagne toast and party favors. La Piazza Lounge entertainment will be provided by Tony Tillman, 10 p.m. to 2:30 a.m. (no cover charge). Shadow will offer music and live dancers from 8 to 11 p.m. The $25 cover charge in Shadow will includes one glass of champagne. Entertainment in the Galleria Bar and Terrazza Lounge is still to be announced.
New Year's Day
The Palatium will serve a New Year's Day champagne brunch buffet from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at $16.99 (half-price for children under 12 years). Price includes unlimited champagne or Bloody Mary cocktails for adults. A dinner buffet will be served from 4:30 to 10 p.m., priced at $16.99 (half-price for children under 12 years) and a fresh, steamed lobster may be included for a total price buffet of $24.99. Additional lobsters will be available for $12 each.
Cafe Lago will offer a New Year's Day breakfast buffet from 1 a.m. to 11 a.m., priced at $15.99 (half-price for children under 12 years). A champagne brunch will be featured from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., priced at $19.99. The lunch and dinner a la carte menus also will be offered from 11 a.m. to midnight.
Caesars Magical Empire will serve its customary menu Tuesday, Jan. 1, 2002. Seatings are from 4:30 to 10:30 p.m. at $75.50 (special price for children). The Magical Empire will be closed on Wednesday, Jan. 2, 2002.*
