T&T to host El Dia De Los Muertos Fiesta and $1,000 Deadliest Dressed Costume Contest

LAS VEGAS— Recover from Halloween mayhem and celebrate El Dia de los Muertos – that’s The Day of the Dead for you gringos - at Tacos & Tequila (T&T) on Sunday, November 1. Take that morning walk-of-shame with pride and strut on over in last night’s costume – we won’t tell. T&T’s $1,000 Deadliest Dressed costume contest is the perfect excuse to still be wearing leftover Halloween attire. The fiesta will heat up from noon until 5 p.m. with killer brunch and drink specials and spooky entertainment.

TALENTED VOCALIST JENNIFER JOSEPH JOINS THE CAST OF FANTASY

Jennifer Joseph, former Miss Nevada and co-star of E!’s "The Entertainer: Starring Wayne Newton," has joined the cast of FANTASY. The talented vocalist will be a fill-in for lead songstress Stephanie Jordan.

With a wealth of singing, dancing and acting experience, Joseph has been performing on the Las Vegas Strip for 10 years and has been featured as the principal vocalist in such shows as Le Folies Bergere’ and Legends in Concert. After winning the title of Miss Nevada in 1995, Joseph went on to win the Talent Award at the 1995-1996 Miss America Pageant in Atlantic City. Most recently, Joseph became one of three finalists to win the coveted back-up singer role on the hit E! reality television show "The Entertainer: Starring Wayne Newton" and currently performs alongside Newton.

Choreographed by Cris Judd and Eddie Garcia, FANTASY features sultry costumes and delicious dance numbers that tempt audiences with just the right amount of seduction. Led by Jennifer Ross’ spellbinding dancing, the FANTASY dancers take audiences on an indulgent journey in which they act out sensual fantasies including forbidden office romances, sultry secret agents and lusting after a cowboy. The show is highlighted by the dazzling vocals of Jordan and the comedic impersonations by Sean Cooper. Produced by Emmy-award winner Anita Mann, FANTASY offers audiences the opportunity to let their inhibitions go and experience just how wild women’s imaginations can be.

FANTASY features eight of Las Vegas’ most beautiful and talented dancers performing risqué dances to some of today’s hottest songs. LAS VEGAS (April 11, 2000) - Luxor Las Vegas announced today it has signed incredible musical talent Jimmy Hopper to join its hot entertainment lineup. Recently named entertainer of the year, Hopper brings his unique vocal abilities and powerful performance style to the showroom at Ra beginning May 2.

With an incredible four-octave range, Hopper takes audiences on a musical journey with artists as varied as Sinatra and Sting to Beethoven and Bocelli. He interprets popular songs and performs original music, all backed by a five-piece band.

Luxor lured Hopper away from a recent standing-room-only gig at another Las Vegas property. "We know a remarkable talent when we see one, and we knew Jimmy would be a perfect addition to the entertainment lineup offered at Luxor," said Mike Hartzell, director of entertainment.

Since coming to Las Vegas in 1999, Hopper has been garnering much media attention, both in Las Vegas and on the national scene. For example, during a recent profile, "Entertainment Tonight" called Hopper "Las Vegas' hottest late-night entertainer."

Local press has been equally embracing. Gaming Today says Hopper gives "one of the most remarkable performances I have ever witnessed." ShowBiz magazine raves Hopper is "an incredibly versatile singer." And the Las Vegas Review-Journal says, "Hopper's time has come."

LAS VEGAS, NV -- As it nears its fifth year anniversary, the Luxor Las Vegas resort has already earned top honors from some of the world's most discriminating travelers -- the readers of Gourmet magazine.

In their special "Rooms at the Top" section of the May 1998 "Hotel Issue," Gourmet reported Luxor Las Vegas as ranking among the top fifty U.S. resorts. This comprehensive readers' survey elicited responses from thousands of subscribers, who named their favorite hotels and then rated them according to fifteen criteria -- four of them food-related. The results were then broken down into 10 areas of the U.S., with Luxor Las Vegas ranking among the top five destinations in the Pacific Northwest & Mountain States category. The survey was conducted by Monroe Mendelsohn Research, Inc., an independent market research firm in New York.
