LAS VEGAS (Dec. 2009) – Begin a new decade at Caesars Palace this Friday, Jan. 1 also known as National Hangover Day. The resort will have many ways to recover from some hard-partying and the post-holiday malaise.
Twitter followers of @CaesarsPalace who Tweet “Happy National Hangover Day, I’m at Caesars Palace” will receive complimentary bloody marys at any one of Caesars Palace’s bars all day on Friday.
Speaking of Twitter, watch “The Hangover,” the top grossing R-rated comedy of all time now available on DVD. Followers can participate in a competition where they can Tweet about New Year’s Eve adventures and how they are “paying for it.” For those without Twitter, stories can be shared via www.natlhangoverday.com. The Web site will include the "Post to Facebook" icon. Each tweet or comment will be published on a world map showing how debauchery around the globe pans out. Regions with the most tweets will be awarded “titles” based on the tweets from their region, e.g. region most likely to lose their wallet. The area code with the most Tweets will be entered into a drawing for a trip to Las Vegas.
For the stomach, Serendipity 3 offers “The Hangover Omelet” (and fresh air). The omelet includes bacon, french fries, mushrooms and Cheddar and is served with a choice of waffle or sweet potato fries. The price: $12.
In celebration of National Hangover Day, Qua Baths & Spa will offer with the purchase of any treatment or Roman Ritual day pass the Organic Detox Tea, Post-Tox. This signature Post-Tox is a balanced combination of milk thistle, fennel, coriander and roots of chicory, burdock and dandelion. These ingredients are traditionally formulated to aid the body’s natural cleansing functions for optimal performance. Perfect for rejuvenating both body and mind!
Since the body will need some rest and relaxation, at Qua, meet with a certified hypnotist for a one-on-one session regarding personal improvement. From weight loss to quitting smoking (both popular New Year’s resolutions), the hypnotherapist can also discuss areas such as sports enhancement, stress reduction and other personal wellness goals. The price: $130 for 50 minutes. Qua also offers reflexology treatments for $140 for 50 minutes or add this to another treatment for $90 for 20 minutes. Reflexology relieves stress and tension with this popular foot massage that accesses “reflex” points on the feet that connect to every part of the body.
