LAS VEGAS (Feb. 2012) – Spring is coming and that means the IRS is too.  At Andre’s at Monte Carlo, taxes can be fun, especially when it comes to The Tax Collector – a classic cocktail, priced at $14, which features gin, dry vermouth and green chartreuse. The good news continues as all specialty cocktails at Andre’s are 2-for-1 from 5:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. through Tuesday, April 17.

ANDRE’S AT MONTE CARLO TO WELCOME THE WEARY FOR NATIONAL HANGOVER DAY WITH TWO COMFORT FOOD DISHES, PRICED AT $20.12

LAS VEGAS (December 2011) – Come Jan. 1, officially designated as National Hangover Day, New Year’s Eve revelers from across the land will turn attention to that most pressing task: recovering from the previous night’s excesses and beginning 2012 with gusto. To help ease the transition, Andre’s at Monte Carlo is offering Chef André Rochat’s two personal favorite dishes, each priced at $20.12 and both perfect for the day after.
The two dishes Andre’s will serve on Jan. 1: Cassoulet with Duck Confit, Pork Sausage, Pork Belly and Great Northern Beans and the French Onion Soup Lyonnaise, which is traditional French onion soup enriched with a coddled egg. Both are personal favorite dishes of Rochat for the rich flavors and textures are ideal for curing any day-after effects from New Year’s Eve.

ANDRE’S AT MONTE CARLO TO CELEBRATE PROHIBITION REPEAL DAY DURING DEC. 7 WHISK(E)Y WEDNESDAY

LAS VEGAS (December 2011) – On Dec. 5, 1933, Prohibition was lifted and Americans could once again legally drink. To commemorate this momentous day in our national history, the whiskey will flow freely at Andre’s at Monte Carlo with the return of Whisk(e)y Wednesday on December 7, 2011.
 
Resulting from a major reform movement in the United States, on Jan. 16, 1920, the 18th amendment was added to the constitution prohibiting the “manufacture, sale or transportation of intoxicating liquors…within the United States.” Although alcohol consumption declined as a result, crime dramatically rose and the Great Depression hit. In December of 1933, the 21st amendment was drafted allowing states to create their own laws for alcohol and with that, the bars were open!

LAS VEGAS (October 2011) - Celebrate the holidays in style this Thanksgiving at Andre’s at Monte Carlo Resort and Casino. Chef Andre Rochat has created a turkey day menu with decidedly sophisticated touches sure to delight guests looking for traditional and non-traditional holiday fare.
