North America’s Ultimate Thrill Ride Recognizing Ride Milestone

LAS VEGAS - February 11, 2013 –After nearly three years and tens of thousands of mind-blowing, adrenaline-packed, 45-mile-an-hour drops to the ground, the most popular thrill experience on the Las Vegas Strip is about to achieve a major milestone.

Sometime during the month of February, SkyJump Las Vegas will host its 100,000th jump – a controlled 855-foot descent from the top of the iconic Stratosphere Tower, 108 floors above the Las Vegas Strip to the ground below.

The 100,000th jumper will receive a prize package including one free SkyJump, a two night stay in a recently remodeled Stratosphere Select room, dinner for two at Stratosphere’s new McCall’s Heartland Grill, two tickets to see critically acclaimed Stratosphere Headliner Frankie Moreno and official SkyJump merchandise to commemorate the jump.

“SkyJump Las Vegas is unlike any other thrill you can experience in Las Vegas or North America, for that matter,” said David Grolman, VP of Hotel Operations.  “To reach 100,000 jumps in such a short time frame exceeds even our expectations of the ride’s tremendous popularity.”

Riders of SkyJump Las Vegas are suited up in a special jump suit then connected to a high-speed “descender” machine.  Under the supervision of trained SkyJump personnel, the jumper is led to the edge of a small platform where they step out and descend the full 108-story height of the Stratosphere Tower.  Prior to reaching the ground, the “descender” machine slows the jumper down, bringing the jumper to a controlled and safe landing.

SkyJump Las Vegas officially opened in April 2010 to international fanfare, kicking off a multi-year re-imagination of the iconic property. In January 2011, Stratosphere Casino Hotel & Tower unveiled a sweeping $20 million renovation that included more than 900 newly remodeled “Stratosphere Select” guest rooms, updates to the casino floor, a new VIP area and valet off Las Vegas Boulevard.  Less than a year later, the property introduced a new headline show Frankie Moreno Live at Stratosphere and revamped its 336-seat second floor theater.   McCall’s Heartland Grill, a steak and seafood restaurant opened in October 2012, and Stratosphere’s new late night show PIN UP™ will debut February 25, 2013.

SkyJump Las Vegas Hours:  Sunday to Thursday, 10am to 1am;  Friday and Saturday, 10am to 2am.

SkyJump Las Vegas Packages: $109.99 per jump; $119.99 for jump and photo package; and $139.99 for jump and wristcam video package.   Locals discount available - $89.99 per jump.

New Year’s Weekend 2013 is Covered Top to Bottom

At the Top:  Sky High Parties

Guests can thrill to Las Vegas’ famous New Year’s Eve fireworks show on the Strip from the city’s best possible vantage point inside the 1,149-foot Stratosphere Tower, while enjoying one of three unbelievable sky high parties.

Level 108/104/103: Multi-floor party includes three live DJs including DJ Mac, Go-Go dancers, elaborate food stations, chocolate fountain,  living table sushi bar with Geisha Girl, candy extravaganza, four-hour open bar with premium brand liquor, specialty martinis served by secret angels, champagne toasts at midnight and party favors.  This party is $225 (inclusive of tax & gratuity) and runs from 8:30 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. on New Year’s Eve. Price will increase to $250 on 12/31/12.

Level 107 Lounge: Party includes a three-hour open bar featuring premium brand liquor, breathtaking views in a festive lounge atmosphere, the live music of “Treasure” and a champagne toast at midnight. Mysterious Sideshow offers affordable Halloween experience throughout October

September 7, 2012- Las Vegas, NV – After thrilling casino players at a private Halloween event last October, Stratosphere Casino, Hotel & Tower is bringing back Dr. Havock’s Sideshow of Curiosities for the public to enjoy—only this time, bigger and better.

Dr. Havock’s Sideshow of Curiosities is a fully immersive and eccentric show experience, which invites guests to explore a clever, yet sinister sideshow world full of startling visual illusions and dark humor—amid chilling characters and scenes inspired by the medicine pitch men, carnivals and vintage circus sideshows of yesteryear. With a hint of steampunk mystique, Dr. Havock’s Sideshow of Curiosities is a “creepy-cool” magical experience that appeals to the Halloween spirit—minus the gore factor of other haunts.

Adult guests will pass through the Elixir Lounge which will be filled with bizarre mementos of Havock’s travels around the world in search of exotic ingredients. The Elixir Lounge will feature specially concocted Jägermeister potions and test tube shots to enhance guests’ experience—all served by beautiful Elixir Girls who may provide a few surprises of their own. There will be plenty to see and explore in the lounge in addition to a fun photo opportunity.

This theatrical show haunt is for people 18 years of age or older and children 12+ accompanied by a parent (parent must also have a ticket). Tickets are priced at $12.50—offering tourists and families an affordable, unique and fun Halloween experience. Fan favorite is the best Vegas Strip venue to watch & bet Sunday football

September 3, 2011 − Las Vegas, Nev. − Stratosphere Casino, Hotel & Tower brings back their popular Pro Football Headquarters inside the Stratosphere Theater every Sunday starting September 09, 2012 at 9 a.m. through the end of playoffs in January 2013.  Pro Football HQ has been called the ‘Best Sunday Football Experience in Vegas’ and offers fans big screen action, live blackjack, betting stations, free Wifi, weekly drawings for exciting prizes and food and drink specials. Admission is free.

With nine huge screens in Stratosphere’s newly remodeled theater, this 7,776 sq. ft., smoke free venue elevates the Sunday football experience to the next level; putting fans exactly where they want to be— in the middle of all the action.  “It’s like a big tailgate party inside the theater— surrounded by all the action with unobstructed views,” said Ed Malinowski, Director of Race & Sports.  

Guests can enjoy live Blackjack tables featuring beautiful entertainment dealers and betting stations dedicated to football bettors. “No other sporting venue on the Strip compares.  Just ask the sports fans and bettors who enjoyed the March Basketball Tournament HQ in our Theater or those who have come here from other football showrooms. Hungry fans will be able to order delicious Breakfast dishes from 9a.m. to noon and Lunch dishes from 11a.m. to 4pm.  Cocktail Servers will deliver $6.50 pitchers of Bud and Bud Light, $10 pitchers of Margaritas or Bloody Marys, or your favorite cocktail directly to your table—in the only football theater on the Strip to offer table seating. That beats cramped theater-style seats any day.
