June 15, 2000 - Las Vegas - Stratosphere Tower Hotel and Casino begins daily lunch service in the Top of the World Restaurant and also starts a daytime happy hour in the Lounge, announced Stratosphere officials today.
Some of the signature entrees on the lunch menu include Grilled Cajun Prime Rib, Petite New York Steak, Pasta Primavera and the Tower Burger. All sandwiches are served with French fries or coleslaw and Tower Specialties are served with a choice of soup or salad. The dessert menu features delicacies such as Bread Pudding, Tiramisu and Chocolate Mousse Cake. The menu includes large entrée-style salads, an assortment of sandwiches as well as fresh seafood, prime rib, and pasta dishes. Menu prices range from $6.75 to $12.75.
"We're very excited about our new lunch menu and happy hour at the Top of the World. Customers have asked the Stratosphere for this amenity for a long time and we are responding," said Richard Brown, Executive Vice President of Marketing for Stratosphere. "It's just another example of expanding our image at Stratosphere - giving the customer what they want."
In conjunction with Top of the World serving lunch, the lounge, located directly above the restaurant, has begun a new Happy Hour program: A combination discount Tower admission ticket and drink package which is now available for "happy hour" for visitors and locals. In addition, an appetizer menu is featured in the lounge that includes chicken fingers, shrimp cocktails and cheese platters.
Entertainment in the Top of the World Lounge will soon be available Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday form 8:30 p.m. to 12:30 p.m. and Friday and Saturday from 9:30 p.m. to 1:30 a.m. Other changes in the lounge include televisions installed for viewing sporting events and a complimentary Stratosphere souvenir glass with purchase of a mango margarita, watermelon daiquiri or any other frozen concoction in the lounge.
