Las Vegas Residents Invited To Celebrations, Luncheons & Activities At City Centers
The city of Las Vegas active adult and senior centers offer exercise, fitness, craft, arts, dance, music and computer classes; cards; games; discussion and social groups; luncheons; sports; and special events Monday through Friday to residents age 50 and better. A listing of classes and activities is published in the Beyond the Neon Leisure Guide, available in the centers and online at www.lasvegasnevada.gov/Find/recreation.htm. All activities are subject to change. Most activities require $2 annual membership to city of Las Vegas Senior Citizen Programs, available at all senior and active adult centers. Centers will be closed for holidays May 30 and July 4.
Knitting Group (ages 50+)
Wednesdays, 9 a.m.
Cost: free with annual membership.

Line Dancing (ages 50+)

Award-Winning Community Garden (ages 50+)

Join our work crew and reap the benefits of fresh vegetables, fruits and flowers. The garden has 40 raised gardening beds. The garden is located in the 1200 block of Blankenship. Please call the center to get involved, and for further details. Master Gardner Don Fabbi meets with volunteer gardeners on Wednesdays at 9 a.m.

25 Weekly Fitness Classes (ages 50+)
Cost: $15 per month

Classes include Yoga, Water and Arthritis Aerobics, Cardio Dance, Dynamic Fitness – Cardio, Dynamic Fitness – Power Hour, Tai Chi, plus many others. Call 229-1702 for a complete listing. Through a partnership with the Centennial Hills YMCA, center members have limited time free usage of the cardio/weight room and the indoor lap pool. Enjoy doing fitness on your own in a state-of-the-art fitness center and pool — enjoy the stationary bike, treadmill, elliptical, and free weights or take a dip in the pool.
Pickle Ball (adults)

Cost: $2 per year center membership fee.
