COAST CASINOS TO AWARD $250,000 ENTERTAINMENT CONTRACT TO 'BATTLE OF THE BANDS' WINNER

(LAS VEGAS)- May 20, 2004- This summer the top thirty six bands in the region will vie for a one-year entertainment contract with Coast Casinos, worth $250,000, and auditions begin next week! Auditions for 'Battle of the Bands,' will be held May 25-26, June 1-2, and every Wednesday following, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the Suncoast Showroom, located inside the Suncoast Hotel & Casino, 9090 Alta Drive in Summerlin.
Bands from all music genres, including rock, 70's, 80's, tribute bands and jazz are encouraged to enter the competition for their chance at this once in a lifetime opportunity. Three bands will be chosen from auditions each week, and will compete on Tuesdays from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m., in the Suncoast Showroom, beginning June 8. Guest judges will then pick one band per week to move on to the 'Battle Playoffs.' By September the field will be narrowed to 12, and a four-week, three-round tournament will determine the winner.
Music lovers are encouraged to attend the weekly competitions and enjoy great music, $1 well drinks, Corona specials and free admission.
