Traditional Music, Dance, Food And Drink Will Transform Centennial Plaza
Everyone is invited to enjoy the second annual Oktoberfest celebration downtown in Centennial Plaza on Saturday, Oct. 16, from 2 to 10 p.m. at 401 S. Fourth St., on the campus of the Historic Fifth Street School. Admission is free and open to the public.
The beautiful, outdoor plaza will come alive with German music by the Bluebird Showband and German folk dancing by The Las Vegas Bavarian Dancers throughout the day. Between performances, strolling accordion player Joe Cairo will entertain the crowd. In a biergarten atmosphere, traditional food and drink will be available for purchase, including: German potato cakes, potato salad,
sauerkraut, bratwurst, Polish sausage, apple strudel and beer. Children’s activities and games will be provided.
Limited free parking is available at the Historic Fifth Street School parking lot. Metered parking is available directly across the street from the event.
