Details
All Brides and Grooms with June Wedding Licenses Receive Free Admission

LAS VEGAS, NEV. During the month of June 2004 the Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino, in the wedding capital of the world, is offering free admission to brides and grooms with June 2004 wedding licenses to Tony 'n Tina's Wedding, the longest running show in Broadway history.

By presenting a June 2004 wedding license when signing-up for a free new Total Rewards Card (never having a Total Rewards card at Harrah's, Rio, Showboat or Harveys) at the Rio, newlyweds will receive two free tickets to see the hit show "Tony N' Tina's Wedding." Seating is limited and guests must be 21 years of age or older.

Tony 'n Tina tie the knot nightly at 7 p.m. in the Rio's Calypso Room, adjacent to the Masquerade Village Entrance.

Tony 'n Tina recently celebrated their third year of wedded bliss at the Rio by renewing their vows for five more years. Tony 'n Tina's Wedding has played at the Rio since January 31, 2002, and will remain a fixture in the Rio's Calypso room until February 2009.

We wanted to toast the longevity of our show by offering newlyweds a chance to commemorate their love and marriage with an evening filled with fun and laughter, said Raphael Berko, producer of Tony 'n Tina's Wedding in Las Vegas and New York.

During their past three years at the Rio, Tony 'n Tina have walked down the aisle more than 800 times in front of more than 200,000 guests, and still continue to make every wedding a one-of-a-kind event, filled will great music, laughter, food and love.

The exciting, interactive show concept gives audiences a chance to attend an actual wedding in which there is a ceremony, reception, guests and lots of improvisation. The theatrical performance satires an Italian-American wedding, and the audience participates in all aspects of the fictitious event.

The most imaginative aspect of the show is its unpredictability. Because the actors are indistinguishable from the guests, no one is quite sure of the outcome. This creates certain spontaneity unparalleled by other Las Vegas shows.

The show's original New York director, Larry Pellegrini, directs and supervises the casting process of the Las Vegas version of Tony 'n Tina's Wedding, which has played in more than 40 American cities. On of the original producers, Joe Corcoran, assures the Las Vegas version will have the same flavor and authenticity of the New York production, originally created by Nancy Cassaro.

Raphael Berko and Jeff Gitlin, who recently took over the production, management and creative aspects of the Times Square production in New York, also oversee the production at the Rio.

Since its opening, the show has garnered rave reviews from The New York Times, which called the show, Audaciously imaginative, and Glamour Magazine called Tony 'n Tina's Wedding Broadway's most innovative play.

Audiences begin the evening with a wedding ceremony that is followed by a rousing reception with the Nunzio and Vitale families hosted by Vinnie Black, which includes a pasta dinner, champagne toasts, wedding cake and dancing to a four piece band. A cash bar is also available in the theater.

Tony 'n Tina's Wedding, which has been an Broadway hit for more than 16 years, is the creation of the improvisational comedy troupe, Artificial Intelligence.
