MAJOR RENNOVATIONS UNDERWAY AT THE RIO ALL-SUITE HOTEL & CASINO

Details
LAS VEGAS, NEV. - The hotel that reinvented buffet dining in Las Vegas and elevated customer service to new heights, gets even better with an $80 million renovation.

The first phase of the Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino's $80 million transformation was recently completed with the re-opening of the World-renowned Carnival World Buffet in April 2004. The new $10 million Carnival World Buffet raised the bar in buffet dining once again, offering more variety in food choices, a new, contemporary design and structural enhancements that make the city's best buffet even better.

Extensive construction began on the Rio's porte cochere, front desk, lobby and Impanema bar areas in mid-May and is scheduled for completion in late August 2004. The Rio's grand new entrance area will entice guests with a sleekly designed porte cochere allowing for more valet parking and easier navigability. The lobby and front desk area will be inviting as it flows into the new Impanema Bar, all of which feature a contemporary twist on traditional Art Deco design.

The new Impanema lounge will typify the Rio's motto, Exotic, Uninhibited and Fun. The World's best flair bartenders will perform elaborate bottle routines around a 15-foot tall Fiber Optic and oil art piece that will light up to synchronize with music. In addition, an array of plasma screens will surround the interior perimeter of the bar featuring all the most popular sporting events during the day, and ambient images at night.

The All American Bar & Grill, one of the Rio's most popular restaurants, will be completely renovated beginning June 1 and re-opened in early September 2004. Its new look will feature upscale earth tones, rock, fire and water elements, redefining itself a contemporary American themed restaurant with a state-of-the art sports lounge.

The $39 million expansion of the Rio's Pavilion Convention Center will add 60,000 square feet of convention space to the existing 100,000 square feet in the Pavilion. With this increase, the Rio will have 160,000 square feet of meeting space. With this expansion, and an estimated completion date of late fourth Quarter 2004, the facility will be able to accommodate up to 17,000 people at one time.

The Voodoo Café and Lounge, which has maintained a position as Las Vegas best view restaurant, will undergo a major remodel on the 50th and 51st floor outdoor patios. The construction will include the installation of an outdoor staircase connecting the two patios, and an aerial deejay platform and go-go platforms will be suspended between the two floors, creating a unique outdoor nightclub feel and look unmatched by any club in Las Vegas. The Voodoo Café and Lounge remodel will be completed in December 2004.
