Las Vegas Residents Invited To Celebrations, Luncheons & Seminars At City Centers
The city of Las Vegas active adult and senior centers offer exercise, fitness, craft, arts, dance, music and computer classes; cards; games; discussion and social groups; luncheons; outings; sports; and special events Monday through Friday to residents age 50 and better. A listing of classes and activities is published quarterly in the Las Vegas Active Adult, available in the centers and online at www.lasvegasparksandrec.com. All activities are subject to change. Most activities require $2 annual membership to city of Las Vegas Senior Citizen Programs. Centers will be closed Jan. 1 and Jan. 18.
Lieburn Breakfast (ages 50+)
Wednesday, Jan. 6, starting at 9 a.m. Advance registration required by Jan. 4.

Line Dance Social (ages 50+)

Learn the ins and outs of finding work for seniors in these challenging economic times. This six-week course will teach seniors better resume presentations, interviewing skills, finding real job openings, follow-up, and keeping the job. Free Food for Health & Soul Community Wellness Series (ages 50+)

Presented by UNR Cooperative Extension, Food for Health and Soul is a nutrition education curriculum designed to teach skills to modify family-favorite recipes for better health. The goal of this six-session curriculum is to decrease the risk for chronic disease. Current city of Las Vegas Senior Citizen Programs membership required.
