July 15, 2005 - Las Vegas The Mentalist, Gerry McCambridge, has extended his performances through August due to popular demand, Rampart Casino officials announced today.
In August, The Mentalist can be seen in Addison s Lounge for free with a one-drink minimum. Performances start at 8 p.m. on the following dates; 2-5, 7-9, 16-23, and 25-31. The Mentalist continues to read minds through July 28 Monday-Thursdays at 8 p.m.
McCambridge has studied memory techniques, body language, hypnosis, linguistics, statistics, law of averages, non-verbal communication, magic, acting, theater, and stand up comedy. They have all helped sharpen his stage skills and natural intuitive abilities. Mentalism is the art of riding the fine line between intuition and illusion, said McCambridge. How much of each I use in a particular routine is my secret.
McCambridge realized he was able to tap into people s minds at a very young age. In his 20 s, McCambridge worked at a psychiatric hospital where he was able to question staff doctors and discuss how the human brain functions and fine-tune his intuitive gift. McCambridge uses his abilities strictly for entertainment purposes by using positive, intelligent, and thought-provoking material.
