LAS VEGAS -- Heavyweight worlds will collide Feb. 16 during the President's Day Everlast Heavyweight Explosion in the Hilton Center at the Las Vegas Hilton. Tickets are on sale at the Hilton Box Office for $25, $35 and $45 and may be purchased by calling (702) 732-5755, or toll-free at (800) 222-5361. Nevada residents may receive a 20 percent discount on their ticket purchase with proper ID.
The February fights will be the first since 1999 to be held at the Las Vegas Hilton. World-famous for championship boxing in the 80s and 90s, the Las Vegas Hilton has again re-entered the boxing spotlight with a co-main event featuring Ed Mahone vs. Greg Pickrom in 10 rounds of competition. The second half of the main event will feature Derrick Jefferson squaring off against Phil Jackson.
Three undercard fights will feature the likes of David Defiagbon, 1996 Olympic Silver Medalist from Nigeria, Barry "Buck Trap" Lineberger and Israel Escandon. A special women's fight featuring Vaia Zaganas vs. Deidree Hamaguichi is also slated for the undercard. Doors to the Hilton Center will open at 6:30 p.m. PST with fights starting at 7:00 p.m.
