LAS VEGAS – May 01, 2013 – The multi-platinum, multi-Grammy Award winning singer Michael Bolton will perform a one-night only concert at the Eastside Events Center at Eastside Cannery on June 1, 2013 at 8:30 p.m.

Internationally renowned for his soulful voice, and poignant lyrics, Bolton’s career has spanned over four decades and he has sold more than 53 million albums and singles worldwide. Bolton has also released 8 studio albums that have ranked in the Top Ten with nine #1 singles to date. 

Bolton’s true signature success was seized with the album Soul Provider, selling more than 12.5 million copies world-wide, and showcasing several chart-toppers including the #1 hit single “How Am I Supposed to Live Without You,” which earned Michael his first Grammy. Las Vegas -- April 30, 2013 Today, South Point Hotel and Casino, the United States Bowling Congress (USBC), Las Vegas Events (LVE), and the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority (LVCVA) announced a 12-year deal to host several annual USBC events, including the USBC Open Championships and USBC Women's Championships, both citywide and inside a new, $30 million bowling tournament facility at South Point starting in 2013.

Over the course of the 12-year agreement, USBC will host seven Championship events inside South Point's new bowling tournament facility, including the USBC Women's Championships in 2016, 2020 and 2022 and the USBC Open Championships in 2017, 2019, 2021 and 2023. There will also be more than 40 additional tournaments, conventions and short duration events held throughout Las Vegas during the agreement, including events such as the USBC Masters, USBC Queens, USBC Senior Masters and USBC Team USA trials.

"Las Vegas is excited to continue a partnership with the United States Bowling Congress that began four decades ago when we hosted the USBC Women's Championships," said Rossi Ralenkotter, president/CEO for the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority. "We look forward to strengthening the partnership over the next decade and becoming the premier destination for USBC events."

The USBC, LVE, and the LVCVA are partnering with South Point to enhance this new agreement by building a permanent, world-class bowling tournament facility at one of Las Vegas' premier bowling destinations. Construction of the new arena at South Point will commence in May 2013. South Point's current bowling center, which will still continue operations, is already a world-renowned facility that annually hosts top professional and amateur events, including the Professional Bowlers Association's World Series of Bowling. The new tournament facility will include more than 60 lanes featuring the latest bowling technology, tournament registration area, bowler's squad room, modern locker facilities and more.

"South Point already runs a premier bowling center where casual fans, amateurs and professionals from all over the world come to play the game they love," said Michael Gaughan, owner of South Point. "This new bowling tournament facility we're building with USBC will provide an unrivaled destination for bowling enthusiasts and add another dynamic element to attract visitors to South Point and Las Vegas."

Las Vegas—Las Vegas entertainer Kelly Clinton brings her kaleidoscope of talent in “Freckled For Life” to the Suncoast Showroom for one night only, Saturday, June 1.
 
In “Freckled For Life,” Clinton mixes her remarkable abilities as an actress, singer, comedienne and impressionist in a one-woman show.  Broadwayworld.com describes her cabaret act as “pure delight” and a “wonderfully entertaining show by an extremely beautiful and multi-talented performer.”
 
Guest stars will include Tara Palsha, who has performed in several well-known Las Vegas Strip shows, and currently performs in “Vegas: The Show.” A special surprise guest or two will also make an appearance.
 
In the early '90s, Clinton was a winner on the ABC reality series “America’s Funniest People” and in 2003 she starred alongside Sheena Easton and Clint Holmes on “Vegas Live.” Additionally, she has appeared on popular national TV shows with Wayne Newton and Engelbert Humperdinck, who she traveled with for many years as a backup singer.
 
Clinton owns and operates her own production company and is the creator and producer of “Shades of Sinatra,” a musical tribute to Frank Sinatra. She starred in the hit musical “Nunsense” at the Las Vegas Hilton for serveral years. Currently, Clinton participates in celebrity nights at The Bootlegger Bistro and hosts “Talktails” on the Vegas Video Network, interviewing celebrity guests and airing Mondays at 5:00 p.m.

Las Vegas—Comedian, actor, writer and radio personality D.L. Hughley will bring his popular standup act to The Orleans Showroom, June 14 and 15.
 
Hughley, well-known for his role in the film “The Original Kings of Comedy,” has entertained millions over the course of his career, with appearances on daytime, prime-time and late-night television, as well as film and radio. He was most recently seen on the 16th season of the ABC hit “Dancing with the Stars” alongside dancing partner Cheryl Burke.
 
On television, Hughley was the producer and star of “The Hughleys,” which ran on ABC and UPN from 1998 through 2002, and was also a series regular on NBC’s “Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip.” He has appeared on HBO’s “Def Comedy Jam,” BET’s “S.O.B.: Socially Offensive Behavior” and has filmed several comedy specials, including “D.L. Hughley: Goin’ Home,” “D.L. Hughley Live,” “Shocked & Appalled” and the HBO special “D.L. Hughley: Unapologetic.”
 
Additional television and film credits include “Inspector Gadget,” “Scrubs,” “Scary Movie 3,” “Soul Plane,” “Hawaii Five-O” and “Glory Daze.” Last July his one-hour special, “Reset,” premiered on Showtime and later this year Hughley will co-host a new game show on TBS, “ Trust Me, I’m a Game Show Host.”
