LAS VEGAS – September 14, 2009 –Ricardo’s Mexican Restaurant is the first restaurant in the state of Nevada to introduce “pay at the table” technology, allowing guests to pay their bill without their credit card or debit pin transaction information ever leaving the table.
The program was created as a means to eliminate identity theft by allowing the customer to keep their credit card at all times. Ricardo’s is the first restaurant in Nevada to partner with Ingenico, creators of the hand-held remote device that guests use at the table, and Micros, the point-of-sale computer system used in many restaurants. Alpine Payment Systems manages the processing.
“We’re excited to offer this to our guests and so far they have been thrilled with the new, safe technology,” said Ricardo’s owner Bob Ansara. “Our guests get to keep their credit card in their possession at all times, creating a safe transaction from start to finish.”
The system is currently in-use at Ricardo’s and will be available to all dine-in guests. For more information, visit www.RicardosofLasVegas.com.
