Free Event Offers Assistance To Blind And Visually Impaired Of All Ages
Blind and visually impaired teens, adults and their families are invited to participate in the fifth annual Vision Forum on Wednesday, March 3, at the Las Vegas Senior Center, 451 E. Bonanza Road. Forum participants will have the opportunity to attend presentations on assistive technology, research, diabetes/nutrition, advocacy, relaxation, daily living and the family. The event also will include an exhibition by high- and low-tech local and national equipment vendors and service providers for the visually impaired from 8:45 to 10:45 a.m. in the adjacent Dula Gym. This is a free event.
Pre-registration by 5 p.m. on Feb. 28 is required to assure a reservation, lunch, free raffle ticket and expedited Paratransit ride. Raffle prizes will be drawn at the end of the program. Participants must be present to win.
