“Miles In The 70s” Will Feature Michael Ray Tyler On Trumpet

LAS VEGASMarch 2, 2010 – Grammy winning saxophonist Gary Anderson assembles the jazz tribute show line up every Tuesday night from 7 to 10 p.m. in The Marquee Room located inside the new Las Vegas Rocks Café downtown.

The theme for Tuesday, March 2 will be “Miles in the 70s” featuring the music of

Miles Davis with Michael Ray Tyler on trumpet. He will be joined by Woody Woods on keyboard, Steve Flora on bass, John Plows on drums and Gary Anderson on saxophone. There’s an open jam for horn players at 9 p.m. with advance notice by calling Gary Anderson at 702-873-8776. There’s a no cover policy with a one drink minimum, which includes a three-hour free parking pass in the Neonopolis underground parking garage.

The new downtown historical dining themed experience offers live entertainment in The Marquee Room and a Vegas celebrity themed menu with items such as Charo’s Chili, Bugsy Burger, Showgirl Salad, and Louis Primavera Pasta, and a retail shop.

The regular weekly entertainment schedule is:

Tuesday “Nite of Jazz” with Gary Anderson and Friends (7 p.m.-10 p.m.)

Wednesday The Randy Thomas Band at 6 p.m.

Thursday “Open Mic Night” with the Michael T. Band at 7 p.m.

Fri. and Sat. “The Tony Sacca Show” at 7 p.m.

Sunday “Champagne Musical Brunch” – 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

with Saxophonist Dave Stambaugh and special guests singers
