This year’s Gala theme was Vintage and was amazing from start to finish. A red carpet of distinguished guests was hosted by: Judy Fleischman, Joey Alon and Angelica Maralason. Lavishly dressed guests at the Cocktail Reception were greeted by music and a vast and interesting Silent Auction. Guests enjoyed mingling and each guest had their picture taken, put in a frame and given to the guest as a gift.

As guests entered the Dining Ballroom they walked down a long red carpet. This red carpet was actually an elongated red train of a dress worn by a beautiful model. Fern Adair Conservatory of the Arts young ladies lined each side of the red carpet and beautiful music was played onstage by the E.W. Clark High School Orchestra.

The Awards Ceremony M.C.’s were Pia Zadora and R.J. Peltyn.

Each Honoree was presented with their award onstage and gave a short speech before walking through military Honor Guards who raised their swords forming an arch for the Honoree to walk through. The Honor Guards were amazingly stalwart, as they stood motionless in a parallel row for quite some time as each Honoree was presented onstage and made their remarks before walking through the arched row of the colorful uniformed Honor Guards.

An eye-catching Program Book had beautiful definitions by Sandy Colon Peltyn who once again was responsible for this fantastic Gala.

Some parts of her definitions are:

A Señora Defined: A Señora is loyal to family and friends who expects no more from others than she’s willing to give; she is a woman who is confident in her beliefs, and yet is willing to listen to what others have to say.

A Señor Defined…A señor is a man we admire, a man who raises our spirits and never lets us down. He is a man who young men look up to and hope to someday emulate.

Feathered boas, hats and party shakers were provided to guests by costumed hostesses and the excellent DJ kept the merriment going as guests were dancing and having fun with their party favors.

But there was even more! An ‘After Party’ continued outside near the beautiful Bellagio Pool area. Eventually, the fun and glitzy evening that was enjoyed by all, ended. Accolades go to Sandy Peltyn and Joe Ripoli for co-hosting an exceptional Gala Event and for their relentless dedication to the Latin Community.
