This international revue -- "SOURIRE" -- brings to Las Vegas experienced French director and creator, Claude Thomas. Since his debut in 1985, Mr. Thomas has taken his passion and inspiration to create revues that lift the soul with singing, magic, dancing, dazzling costumes and many delightful surprises! Mr. Thomas’ first venture ("Cabaret de Paris") was at a small dinner cabaret in Lille, France in 1985. The show evolved into a much larger revue and became known as "Les Folie’s de Paris" where it continues to play today, 17 years later. Thomas then opened the "Les Folie’s de Paris" in Quebec in 1998 and continues its’ successful run 4 years later. An American version was created and "Les Folie’s de Paris" enjoyed a successful 6-month engagement at the El Dorado Hotel/Casino in Reno last year.

"It has been my dream to play in Las Vegas since I was a student with Jean-Marie Riviére (Master of Ceremonies/Animator) in Paris," says Thomas. "And to open at the beautiful Venetian Hotel is an honor and my show is most fitting to their grand scale."

"Sourire’s" talented cast of 20, will transport their audience into a wondrous universe of vignettes that are set in Venice, Paris, Egypt, Mexico, and of course..... Las Vegas! Thomas’ creation comes to life on stage with dramatic sets and over 300 glamorous costumes, where guests will experience an Italian ballet, a Parisian opera, an Egyptian adagio, and as you would expect in Las Vegas -- impressionists: featuring Barbara Streisand, Celine Dion, Michael Jackson, and Liberace!

Thomas goes on to say, "My cast includes performers from Paris, Quebec, Africa, England, and of course, America (Las Vegas, New Orleans, San Francisco, Long Island). Our singers have been classically trained at French and Canadian conservatories and can carry a range from opera to pop." Thomas is currently producing other spectacular shows all over the world – Paris, Quebec and Tokyo.
