Steve's road to a career in comedy began during his childhood in Sheepshead Bay, Brooklyn, where he picked up the many accents he heard on the streets of his multi-ethnic neighborhood. This self-professed "class clown" grew up to become a teacher and school administer, using humor, dialects and sound effects to inspire students in the manner of Welcome Back Kotter.

Steve also discovered he had an incredible aptitude for business. He designed, organized, built and became one of the owners and operators of cable television systems on the islands of Antigua and Barbuda.

Eventually Steve left this tremendous academic and business success behind and turned his attention to his latent love of making people laugh. As Steve puts it, "I was sick and tired of the regular pay checks, the prestige and educational glamour of an administrator's life so I decided to get on the road and make 30 dollars a show."

As this veteran stand-up comic proclaims, My Mother's Italian, My Father's Jewish and I'm In Therapy is not just about his family, but about "all the people I meet on a day to day basis whose sole purpose in life is to drive me into therapy."
