For many years I have been making Vegas a must stop over when travelling in the States.Usually stay Mon-Friday when room rates are off high peak.

On this occaission had 10 days in Vegas,my only destination on this trip.

I always stay at Circus Circus where all I need is a clean room. After all when in Vegas, you do not spend alot of time in your room.Check in on arrival is the biggest challenge.Always very, very slow.Average of no less than 45 minutes during peak time.If you are after a 5 star experience and service,Circus is not for you. However if you like a good clean room at a price which is good value, with a low level of customer service,I would highly recommend this venue.

I stayed in the newly renovated rooms in the west wing which I recommend. The average nightly rate was $34 per night which was a bargain.

If you have children they will love the indoor theme park,Adventuredome.Circus has done a major makeover of the "park" in recent years, and has vastly improved the rides and other attractions.
Of course the free circus acts and all the fun of the fair under the big top is sure to put a smile on all the childrens faces.

Let me share a few highlights from this trip

Firstly I was able to purchase a senior citizens pass for travel on the deuce. It only cost $25 for 30 days on and off as much as you like. You must be 62 or over for the special rate.Purchase them at the duece bus terminal at either end of the strip. Also consider purchasing a bus route map for only $1 or $2.

Second highlight was discoverying the steak special I had read so much about at Ellis Island Casino.Had never been to Ellis Island in the 20 plus years have been going to Vgas.Found out about the special on the trip reports.Thank you to those who contribute to their reports. This is my first one.

The steal special was every bit of good as was stated. As I looked around me in the cafe, most of the guests were ordering the Steak special.Has to be one of the best hidden sectrets in Vegas.Highly recommended.

Best Buffet meal I had was tea at the Flamingo.Other quality meals I visited included the buffet at Planet Hollywood.

The best value buffet was at MGM buffet. For only $30 you can purchase breakfast, lunch and dinner ticket to be used on same day.A saving of $28 if you payed for each meal seperatly.

When not eating buffets I always enjoy Dennys.Good value for money.Good service.Good quality meals to suit most taste preferences.

Best Value entertainment was at the box office of Circus Solae.
Pay one full price for one person at any show and get the second ticket for only $25.For any of the Circus Solae shows in town.

For the lady of the family there is plenty of shopping opportunities. If Factory Outlets are for you,the deuce can take you to both large outlets where you can shop until you drop.

If Vegas was depending on me to improve the economy through gaming, they would have to look elsewhere.Im a penny slot player, with a strictly limited budget.I found most slots tight.Including Circus Circus,Slots of Fun,Riviera,Ellis Island,Bills Gamimng Hall,Planet Hollywood.

But hey had a good time and did not lose the shirt of my back.

Im all "vegased" out from this trip. But saving up for the next.

Hope you enjoy your planned visit to Vegas and found something useful you can consider in this report.

See you on the strip!
