Typically got to Las Vegas on average 5 times per year for almost 25 years. Some years have been 8 or 9 times and others 3. I live close to Atlantic City, so I do spend some weekends there as well.

This was my 50th birthday trip!! While most trips are for 3-4 days, I always said I wanted to do at least a week for my 50th. Counting travel days, I was there 10 days, and still didn't want to leave. We stayed at the Bellagio, comped all days and got a reduced rate for 3 other couples that went with for part of the trip.

I rented a Corvertte convertable for 3 days and a lincoln for the remainder of the days. (A birthday treat!). Took a helicopter tour of grand canyon and over the strip. All of us rented 4 wheelers for a 4 hour ride. Way to hot and dusty, but FUN!!

Poker play was choppy. Up $1000 here, then down $1,000 there. Hit a royal flush for $4,000 at Treasure Island. After all expenses (Air, food, rentals, adventures, booze, shopping,etc..I was only down $2,800 for the entire trip! I had budgeted 5 grand. So, as far as I am concerned, I did ok. Had so many laughs with friends and people we met while playing. Had a surprise dinner for me at Venetion that was wonderful!

I will never forget my 50th birthday trip. I have looked through the hundreds of photo's smiling the entire time.
